Hour of Code which takes place globally each year during the Computer Science Education Week, from December 7th to 13th will be taking place across the Maldives again. This year, Hour of Code at Hour of Code Maldives is set to be bigger, reaching all corners of the country. The event will be held on 12th December. Hour of Code is a part of the global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries through a one-hour introduction to computer programming in a fun way opened for all ages.
Hour of CodeⓇ at Hour of Code Maldives program is organized by Women in Tech Maldives and STEM Space. Premier partners of the program are Ooredoo Maldives, Bank of Maldives, Dhiraagu and Maldives Monetary Authority.
Registrations for this program are now open on the https://hourofcodemv.com website. So far more than 600 participants from 61 islands have registered in the program. Registrations are open till 01st December 2020.
This is a great opportunity for students of all ages to learn computer science because it helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.
STEM Space is a program by Dr. Ibrahim Latheef that is developed and conducted to create opportunities for school age children to access Digital Technologies and STEM education.
