The Hour of Code ™, a one-hour introduction to computer science, is a fun, easy way for students to try out computer science, and often inspires them to deeper engagement with a subject that is fundamental to a 21st-century education.
Individuals of all ages are invited to join this years Hour of Code ™ at Womenintechmv (Online event) happening on 24th December 2022: 10:00AM to 11:00
The Hour of Code ™, a one-hour introduction to computer science, is a fun, easy way for students to try out computer science, and often inspires them to deeper engagement with a subject that is fundamental to a 21st-century education. There are multiple activities that are suitable for various age groups, for anyone to try.
You will need to have an interest for this fun learning experience, access to internet and a smart device such as phone,laptop or tablet
We expect you to complete one activity within one hour. However if you are unable to complete in an hour, complete as soon as you can.
Once you register, you will be invited to join one of the activities groups. During the event you will be joining an online meeting room and there will be a mentor who will help you complete your Hour of Code. Follow the mentor!
All participants who want to join this year's Hour of Code at Womenintechmv will be able to register for the event through the website.
We will be closing the registrations on 18th December. By this time all the registered participants must have received a confirmation email
All the registered participants will be allocated to groups based on their age. Take this time to introduce yourself and interact with the assigned mentor
Event starts at 10:00.
Mentors will share the session link with the students and students will be expected to join the sessions 15 minutes before the actual session.
All institutes and schools can independently run an hour of code session between 6th and 25th of December. Our teams will be available to train the teachers and structure the event throughout. We have selected a set of age appropriate activities and made videos to help the teachers/mentors to learn fast. We would like to ensure you are well prepared and participants enjoy the Hour of Code.
